edition HORIZONTAL multiple collection line
A multiple refers to a work of art produced as an edition.
It is a representation of something – acquiring value and significance as a person takes it in his/her hands and intelligently filling the blank space of life.
Created without consideration for functionality, multiples provide the joy of ownership and captivate us to our psychological core. Such multiples create relationships that expand over time, like an open vista.
“edition HORIZONTAL” is a collection line by E&Y that presents the artistic aspects of designer’s and artisan’s work. The multiples are accompanied by messages from their creators, along with an openness to interpretation.
That leaves a wide margin to people while stating the message.

Wallpaper* Handmade 2015
Eat me! Drink me! Tell me that you love me!
The exhibition ‘Wallpaper* Handmade’ is annually held in Milan during the Salone del Mobile week, which is organised by British design culture magazine Wallpaper*. Based on a concept ‘the marriage of craftsmanship and design’, Wallpaper* selects designers, artists, and manufacturers to make one-off luxury items of furniture, fittings, food stuffs, fashions and much more. Those special one-off items will be showcased all together at once. This year, Koichi has been chosen to participate in this exhibition and designed a new object. If you happen to be in Milan, please stop by.
